Filatura di Crosa Superior does not have a ply rating but is near a 1 ply fingering yarn.
It is comprised of 70% Cashmere, 25% Silk and 5% Wool.
The tension varies according to Pattern, but it suggests a tension of 23 stitches and 25 rows on 3mm needles.
For a lacy look it is often used on a larger needle.
Ball size is 25gms with 300 metres per ball.
As the name suggests, it is ‘superior'. The lovely soft finish is due to a very high percentage of cashmere and a good percentage of silk, and of course the guage, provides a Spider Web Thin slightly brushed look, depending on the pattern used.
